this smells bad
so today i read that livejournal laid off 20 of its 28 staff without severance.

anyone who wants me to back up their lj for them, let me know. i'm sure as shit archiving mine.

i was going to grab a more recent copy of the livejournal source code but the blank web site that shows up instead at code.livejournal.com is even more concerning.

i have a command line client for livejournal called charm running on the loss4words server. you can log in and use it if you like, using your ftp username and password, or you can email me your lj user/pass and i'll do it for you and email you back a zip of text files of the whole thing.

2 cups of flour
2 teaspoons of baking powder
1 tablespoon of oil
2 teaspoons of salt
3/4 cup of milk

mix into a dough and knead for two minutes. cover with a damp cloth and let sit for 20 minutes. separate into 8 balls of equal size, let sit for another 15 minutes. flatten with a rolling pin into 5" circles, then when finished all of them, to 7 or 8". fry in a dry pan for 30 seconds each side. place in a napkin-lined bowl covered with aluminium foil and serve.

wait, that's flour tortillas.
